The Sports Association “Zemun Half Marathon” has been successfully organizing the sports event “Zemun Half Marathon” for five consecutive years, with more than 4,000 participants taking part so far. The idea behind this event is to popularize athletics, as a fundamental sport, and bring it closer to all residents of Zemun and other municipalities of Belgrade, especially children aged 7 to 14. For this reason, in addition to the main half marathon race (21.1 km), we have included three more competitive races in the program: two senior races, the “Zemun Ten” (10.5 km) and the “Zemun Five” (5 km). For primary school students, we traditionally organize the “Future Champions Race,” where the youngest participants, depending on their age, compete in distances of 200, 400, and 600 meters. We would also like to remind you that the “5th Zemun Decathlon Half Marathon” will have a humanitarian character, as in previous years, through the collection of funds for children in need, as well as the collection of plastic caps as part of the “Cap for Handicap” initiative.
